HOW DOES CPTM WORK ?
Members are drawn from Commonwealth Governments, Private & Public
Sector Companies, Networkers and the Commonwealth Secretary-General's
nominees. All these categories are represented on the Board of Directors.
CPTM's funds come from financially contributing Governments, that is
Governments which make a specific direct financial contribution to
CPTM annually, and the
Private and Public Corporate Sector. Networkers contribute by offering
their skills and knowledge on a voluntary basis. CPTM's activities are
backed by a small full-time staff in the London Hub and by an increasing
number of National Hubs including
Malaysia,
Botswana, Barbados, Lesotho, Namibia, St. Lucia, Swaziland, Uganda and
Zimbabwe amongst others.
CPTM works to enhance
Public/Private Sector co-operation and by positively encouraging a "Win-Win"
or "Prosper thy Neighbour" philosophy. These activities are carried out
primarily through co-operative resourcing by Networkers whose time is
voluntarily given, thereby leveraging applied funds by a factor of 5:1 at
least.
To ensure that
CPTM executes its
responsibilities properly, it is guided by a Code of Ethics, which provides
guidelines for the conduct of all activities undertaken by any individual or
group operating in the name of CPTM.
WHERE DOES
CPTM WORK ?
Primarily, but not exclusively, in the emerging Commonwealth
Countries. However, our horizons are wide and expansion beyond the
Commonwealth is happening.
WHAT IS
CPTM'S MISSION ?
To enhance National capabilities for the creation of and
participation in global wealth, through sound Technology Management and
using Public / Private Sector Partnerships.
THE WAY FORWARD WITH
CPTM
A
consensus on The Way Forward is reached at the conclusion of each Smart
Partnership Dialogue which examines all aspects of "life within CPTM".
Since this is formulated by the Smart Partnership Movement as represented by
all those present at the Dialogue, it can fairly be said also to represent
the views and aspirations of CPTM as a whole.
