The first such specialized link to be forged and activated was the Business Link in Langkawi in 1997. What started out as an invitation to a ‘sunrise’ working breakfast directed at Smart Partners from the business community has spinned off into a formidable international network of business associates. The camaraderie and enthusiasm generated in the group demonstrated that the participants had common areas of concern. This group sees as its goal the opportunity to communicate and engage in networking, with a view to gaining personal, corporate or social benefit, under the aegis of the Smart Partnership flag.
